日晷不告诉你几点几分，它告诉你太阳到哪了。
岁时也一样。它不做秒级倒数，不堆数字，只让你看见自己在这一天、这一年、这一生里站在哪个位置。
看得见的时间
今日二十四格，本周七格，本月三十一格，本季三个月，今年十二格，农历年跟着节气走，一生按你设定的预期寿命画出来。每一格都是已过、当下、未至三种状态：已过是墨色，当下是一根赭红，未至是浅灰。一眼扫过去，不用读数。
除了这些天然的周期，你还可以自己定义两种：
- 倒计时：从起点到目标日，看剩多少
- 正计时：从某一天开始，看已经过去多久
- 还有一张概览，把今日、本周、本月、今年四条放在一起
活在桌面上
岁时主要活在小组件里，不需要打开 App。
- 主屏幕支持小、中、大、超大四种尺寸
- 锁屏支持圆形和矩形两种，倒计时直接放在锁屏上
- iPad 同样可用，横竖屏都适配
- Mac 版有独立的菜单栏图标，一天里瞥几十次的地方随时能看到进度
二十六款样式，五十七套配色
竖条、细条、胶囊、阶梯、圆点、点阵屏、环、水墨环、刻度环、松、竹、月相、叶、印章、纯文字……从极简的一根线，到带国风意象的松竹月相，都在同一套纸墨语言里。
配色分为通用、国风、夜、M3、对比五个系列，每一套都定义了已过、当下、未至三种颜色。也可以自己调，底色和强调色任选。
自己的东西自己管
所有数据只存在本机和你自己的 iCloud 私有库里，开发者看不到，也不收集任何信息。iCloud 同步可以随时开关，换手机、重装，组件都还在。
名字的由来
岁，本指木星。古人看它十二年绕天一周，以它所在的位置纪年——年，最初是被看出来的，不是被数出来的。 时，本义是四时。春夏秋冬，是一年被切开后的四个段落。
南朝的《荆楚岁时记》按时序记下了一整年的节令风俗。在那本书里，一年不是三百六十五个等长的日子，而是一段一段有名字、有位置的时间。这就是岁时想做的事：把连续的时间切成看得见的段落，放在你一抬眼就能看到的地方。
免费版可以创建三个组件，使用基础样式和配色。解锁岁时 Pro 后不限个数，全部样式、配色与 iCloud 同步都可用，一次购买，iPhone、iPad、Mac 三端通用。
A sundial does not tell you the time. It shows you where the sun is.
Sundial does the same for your day, your week, your year, and your life. No countdown clock, no ticking seconds. Just a row of marks, and a clear sense of where you are.
Time you can see
Today is twenty-four marks. This week is seven. This month is thirty-one. This quarter is three months, this year is twelve, and the lunar year follows the solar terms. Your life is drawn from the life expectancy you choose. Every mark is in one of three states: behind you in ink, right now in a single vermilion stroke, still ahead in light grey.
Beyond the natural cycles, you can define your own:
- Countdown, from a start date to a target date, showing what is left
- Count up, from a date in the past, showing how far you have come
- An overview that puts today, this week, this month and this year side by side
Built for the Home Screen
Sundial lives in widgets, so you rarely need to open the app.
- Home Screen widgets in small, medium, large and extra large
- Lock Screen widgets in circular and rectangular, so a countdown sits right on your Lock Screen
- Full iPad support in both orientations
- On Mac, a menu bar icon shows your progress in the place you glance at dozens of times a day
Twenty-six styles, fifty-seven palettes
Bars, hairlines, capsules, stairs, dots, dot matrix, rings, ink ring, tick ring, pine, bamboo, moon phase, leaf, seal and plain text. From a single hairline to motifs drawn from Chinese ink painting, all in the same paper-and-ink language.
Palettes are grouped into Universal, Chinese, Night, Material and Contrast. Each defines the three states of past, present and future. Or build your own from any background and accent colour.
Your data stays yours
Everything is stored on your device and in your own private iCloud database. The developer never sees it and collects nothing. iCloud sync can be turned on or off at any time.
Why a sundial
The sundial is the oldest way we made time visible. No readout, no digits, just a rod, a shadow and a ring of marks.
You glance at where the shadow falls, and you know where you stand in the day. That is the whole idea behind this app. Some marks are behind you, one is now, the rest are still ahead.
The free version lets you create three widgets with the basic styles and palettes. Sundial Pro removes the limit and unlocks every style, every palette and iCloud sync. One purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac.
